The Final Triumph
©2001 Ernest B. Gentile
Chosen Books (Baker Book House Co.)
285 pages, PB
"My prayer is that, as you read, you will gain a renewed interest in this wonderful event and assume a spiritual wakefulness so this occurrence will not catch you unprepared." (p. 10). With that introduction, Ernest Gentile begins his defense of the posttribulation rapture. Page 31, for instance, lists his arguments against imminency.
Gentile includes several statements to prompt us to get ready for the second coming. After the Lord comes He will reward or punish His own (pp. 66). We may forget that He is coming, but we will nevertheless be ready if we continue in our assigned task (p. 129), and live for God the way the New Testament describes (p. 203).
His statements on readiness for rapture and resurrection are few and general, but his few sentences on preparedness are more than the other books I've reviewed from the pretribulation camp.
