In-class Uncialicious practice, copying a handout.
I had a great two “Uncialicious” classes with Jane Shibata, who taught several varieties of the Uncial lettering style to our monthly Orange County Society for Calligraphy members. Here are several in-class work and homework projects.
Uncial homework practice. Hand-calligraphy with 6.0mm Pilot Parallel Pen in black ink on paper; illustration in middle with fine-point Sakura pen. Colored with colored pencils. Lines in letters are from gold gel pen. (Quote from Ps. 69:32.)
Hand-calligraphy by Steve Husting; color added in Photoshop. Uncial homework practice.
