Daniel 9:24-27 gives us a sweeping, end-times prophecy from Christ’s first coming to His Second Coming. Verse 27 tells us about the final seven years before Christ sets up His kingdom. It all begins with someone making an agreement, or covenant, with Israel and other nations for seven years. (In the passage, “one week” is the term understood in those days as a week of years, or seven years.) Here is the passage:
“And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.“ (Daniel 9:27)
Jesus makes reference to this time period in Matthew 24:15, revealing that this person who makes the covenant with Israel will stand in the temple’s holy place (the “abomination” mentioned):
“When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)”
2 Thess. 2:3-4 tells us more details of this person who makes the covenant and breaks it in the middle of the week, or after 3 1/2 years:
“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.”
The Jews will make a covenant with this person, who will, three-and-one-half years later, stop the sacrifices in the Jewish temple by surrounding Jerusalem with his armies (Luke 13:20), and proclaiming himself as a god. (Please note that it is not specific a “peace treaty” but a covenant.) In the field of Bible end-times events, the signing of a seven-year covenant with Israel is significant, especially in these times when Israel must be constantly on guard, surrounded by nations that wish to destroy Israel.
Is the recent covenant with Israel in August 2020 this covenant? After all, it is not with Israel only, but “with many,” or several other nations as well. One thing I don’t know is the duration of this covenant. Is it seven years, or a covenant that is in force until governments break it because of some disagreement?
One thing I do know is the present willingness of several nations to join in a covenant with Israel shows a softening of their stance. This allows for the possibility of an antichrist figure to come and join the nations into a more solid agreement, even if for only seven years. Now we know that a covenant among several nations that includes Israel can be a reality and occur at any time.
With the end nearer than before, pay close attention to what the Bible says about getting ready. His idea of getting ready is to continue in the will of God where you are, not to abruptly remove yourself. We live by faith in the Word of God and take our direction from it, not the world.

a. There is no “end of the world” in the Bible, but an end of the age, which ends when Jesus comes again. Seven years before he comes, a person will make a covenant with Israel for a seven-year period. Interestingly enough, it is a covenant with “many,” not with Israel alone. So expect a covenant with Israel and surrounding nations.
b. If the maker of this treaty will enter the temple of Israel, that implies that the temple will be rebuilt. Any covenant with Israel indicates the coming of Christ after 3.5 years or more after the covenant is made. There is time to rebuild a temple during that time. c. Isn’t it significant that one of the end-time prophecies has to do with a covenant with Israel, which just happens to be surrounded by enemies at this time?
I need to study a little further but does the passage in Daniel 9 really specifically state Israel, “And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week:” Could not the “many” be nations given the events taking place on January 15th 2017 against Israel???????
Could this be the real meaning? Literally?
It does not literally apply to present times because an Antichrist figure is a single person, not many nations, which will make a treaty with Israel and break it 3.5 years later. The verses can’t apply to recent events because there was no treaty to break, and an antichrist figure did not proclaim himself as God and demand worship. There has to be a temple in Jerusalem for the antichrist to enter, and it isn’t built yet.
The temple hasn’t been built yet because of tensions with Muslim nations. Part of the covenant may relieve those tensions and allow the temple to be built. Fully built or not at the 3.5-year mark, the Antichrist will make his move.
Will the rapture happen before the Anti-Christ makes the move?
There will be a rapture for those who are ready for it. In Jesus’ words, in Luke 21:36, “Therefore be watchful all the time, praying that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will happen, and to stand before the Son of Man.”
If this rapture was part of the salvation package, then why did Jesus say to His followers to pray and be watchful that they may be counted worthy? So the Lord is evaluating His people for something more than they think.
In Matthew 25:1-13, we find 5 foolish persons left behind while 5 wise went in when the bridegroom came. So there is a distinguishing between two groups being made.
In Matthew 24:44-51 we see two kinds of servants, one ready and one not. One faithfully doing the task God wants him to do and one who departed from it. Which one was ready? Which one are you?
We have Paul’s words in Philippians 3:10-12, “that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed to his death, if by any means I may attain to the resurrection from the dead. Not that I have already obtained, or am already made perfect; but I press on, that I may take hold of that for which also I was taken hold of by Christ Jesus.”
Paul did not count himself as having obtained that which he longed for, to gain the resurrection from the dead. Of all the people in the world, we would expect Paul to have attained that number who would go marching in. He didn’t rest on that, though. It is unwise for us to assume we are going up in the rapture as well.
What are you resting in, the idea that you believed in Jesus long ago? That you are being a good person? That you go to church?

The rapture was invented 200 years ago, it was never spoken of before that. Jesus Christ said we will be killed for our faith in Him. We are no appointed to the wrath of God, that’s when we will be taken out of the world.
What is your response to these verses from 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17? They describe the rapture in the Bible, so the teaching was around for 2000 years, not 200.
“For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. I agree scripture never mentions the word rapture. Most believe that when two people are tilling the ground and one disappears is when they are raptured but the first to go does not go with our creator you are going with satan.

It depends on your rapture/end-times theology. What is it? Do you know the relationship between what the Antichrist does and when Christ comes? If you are a pre-tribber, then it means that the doctrine has been false, for the pretribber thinks he will not be around when the Antichrist appears. If you are prewrath, then you’ll expect persecution when the Antichrist comes, but it will be cut short when Jesus comes to take His church and dispense wrath. If you are a post-tribber, then Jesus will come around 3.5 years after the Antichrist sets himself up as a god in the temple 3.5 years after making a covenant with Israel.

Yes, there has to be a temple and sacrifices in place before we can identify the Abomination of Desolation. Could this be an interim temple erected near the beginning of the 7-year treaty? How complete does it have to be? We don’t know.

The temple will be located in Jerusalem; the Bible speaks of no other. Does the interfaith synagogue have a “holy place”? The antichrist figure will stand in such a room and proclaim himself as a god (2 Thessalonians 2:4). According to Daniel 9:27, the AC will bring sacrifices and offerings to an end–that happens when he makes himself a god. The interfaith synagogue will not offer these; no “interfaith” center will. Only in a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem.

We think Jared Kushner Trump’s son-in-law will be the Antichrist figure since he is overseeing the peace treaty and he is Jewish. That’s not good enough. Those are not the identifying traits of the antichrist. The antichrist will surround Jerusalem with his armies. What armies does Jared command?
A lot of it won’t happen until after the rapture. All of this could just be setting the stage. The antichrist is also a spirit, and that spirit is working in a lot of people right now, particularly any self-proclaimed Christians who unrepentantly and unapologetically opposes Christ…hence “antichrist”…while not loving or helping people who don’t know Jesus at all. That’s the big sign for me, aside from the peace plan. Also, the scripture says “confirm”, so it could be later on and that peace plan of theirs could be confirmed by someone else, or even by Trump/Kushner again.

Jared Kushner’s family owns a high rise building in New York City. When his family bought it, they paid the highest price for any real estate ever bought. This building houses Lucent Technologies, who is making RFID chips which will eventually be used in humans (Mark of the Beast). We focus on America to much in the Bible. We are nothing more than a protector for Israel. The Antichrist won’t be from the USA. That is the last and final Antichrist. There is more than one. But in the day if Satan he will not be from or in America.

According to the Bible, the Holy of Holies was covered by a veil, and no one was allowed to enter except the High Priest, and even he would only enter once a year on Yom Kippur, to offer the blood of sacrifice and incense.

Can you just imagine the shock of the people. Certainly not much mention to that day other than a few scriptures. You would think that day would be well recorded. Once dead people arose from the grave fully restored and walking around preaching to everyone.
However the important resurrection to mention was that of of Jesus Christ.

Describes Solomon building the temple to house the Ark of the Covenant, description of design with measurements for this temple and its construction. No where within Daniel is this temple being described as being built nor the measurements.
Yet in Daniel 8 there was a long arduous well developed doctrine for which to deceive the holy people.
Verse 24 states of these people who were destroyed once Holy in their desire for God.

Verse 24 clearly states that this is NOT entirely Satan, not a single one person Antichrist but the concerted efforts of many, a policy for which to rule, a king who rules a church. therefore an institutional wide policy a supporting hierarchy, thus, many Antichrists.
“And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.”

11.) And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
The super structural group to support the agenda well spoken of within the scriptures clearly states that even the Apostate, false doctrine churches with wolves in sheep’s clothing shall lead many astray.

Within Daniel Satan is using a combined force to cease the covenant for those in the body of Christ that have honored Christ. The breaking of bread and drinking of wine ceremonies.

Unfortunately mankind, especially Americans will fight to hold their denominational aligned church and even their own specific church within that group higher than the truth within the word of God. Threaten to take something from an American and they will fight to the death to keep it. Covetousness personified. When their “Gods” are above the only God.

24.) Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images. 25.) And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.
Ezekiel 34:2-10
2.) Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God unto the shepherds; Woe be to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! should not the shepherds feed the flocks?
3.) Ye eat the fat, and ye clothe you with the wool, ye kill them that are fed: but ye feed not the flock.
4.) The diseased have ye not strengthened, neither have ye healed that which was sick, neither have ye bound up that which was broken, neither have ye brought again that which was driven away, neither have ye sought that which was lost; but with force and with cruelty have ye ruled them.
5.) And they were scattered, because there is no shepherd: and they became meat to all the beasts of the field, when they were scattered.
6.) My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and upon every high hill: yea, my flock was scattered upon all the face of the earth, and none did search or seek after them.
7.) Therefore, ye shepherds, hear the word of the Lord;

Back to Daniel 11 for a moment. I’d like to see what this “Abomination” spoken of means.
Daniel 11:37
37.) Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.
The key here is to reference which abomination is spoken of within Daniel as there are many abominations mentioned throughout the Bible. Scriptures are clear as too what is referenced.
Leviticus 18:22
22.) Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
Leviticus 20:13
13.) If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
I’ve found an interesting scripture pertaining to a mid-week sacrifice offering, a “Obliation” as well as verse 18 which is truly remarkable when you see the original practice of the offerings to God for various specific reasons. How well this practice matches that of Daniel 9:27.
Leviticus 7:14,18
14.) And of it he shall offer one out of the whole oblation for an heave offering unto the Lord, and it shall be the priest’s that sprinkleth the blood of the peace offerings.
18.) And if any of the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings be eaten at all on the third day, it shall not be accepted, neither shall it be imputed unto him that offereth it: it shall be an abomination, and the soul that eateth of it shall bear his iniquity.
Daniel 9:24-27
24.) Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
25.) Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
26.) And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
27.) “Consummation” isn’t that pertaining to a wedding union completion? The second coming, the groom who comes to claim the bride? Thus the consummation is the union of body and spirit into one!

The Holy Communion offering;
The presentation of bread and wine to God in the Eucharist.

It might just as well imply an international treaty signed by nations of the world. The follow up sentence gives a clearer picture of the treaty. ‘…in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease.’ Take note this follow-up sentence indicates the treaty will be a religious one involving many.
We know that one of the people of the prince to come (a Roman pope) has called on many great people of the earth of every religion, to sign a treaty Laudato si which emphasizes educating the young people of the earth on action against climate change which covertly we believe is an attempt to foster one world religion. We’re’ going through the tribulation so we need to prepare for that first. Many Christians have been duped into thinking that we will be raptured out of here before facing any tribulation. I believed it too until I started to read the Bible and realized we WILL go through the tribulation first then the rapture (Jesus’ second coming). We must prepare. Stock up on food, tents (many of us will lose our homes because we won’t take the mark of the beast and won’t be able to buy or sell anything) and other essentials because we will have nothing but God. But that’s all we really need anyway.
No that’s not the preparation Jesus had in mind. In Matthew 24:44, Jesus tells us to be ready, and in the following verses through 25:30 He tells us how to be ready. For instance, 24:45 to the end of the chapter, He tells us to be faithful in the work He has called us to do. The servant who was faithful was rewarded with greater blessings in service to the master when the master returned and found him still about the task. If we turn from the task, we’ll be counted as unfaithful servants and it will go badly for us when the master returns and we are not at our assigned post.
You’ll be ready, not by stocking up on food, but being ready to serve the Lord where you are. If you are living for yourselves, you’ve lost time and will not be ready.
You’re dealing with two separate things. There’s the rapture and then the 2nd coming. They’re both separate. Rapture takes place before the tribulation and the saints are caught up. Then the 2nd coming is at the end of the tribulation of the 7year agreement.
Matthew 24:44 to the end tells us how to make sure we are ready: we are busy about the Lord’s business at His return.
